  • Pre Prep (4+)

We are frequently asked about the starting age for tutoring children. Generally, we recommend considering tuition from the age of 6 or 7. Many clients opt for their children to take the 7+ exam for selective schools. Our goal is to assist your child in maximising their education, whether it's for selective prep school admission or to provide them with the best possible foundation.

  • Prep (7+)

Traditionally, prep covered ages 7 to 13, but nowadays it's more common to extend it up to around age 11. Our main focus is to offer support, guidance, and tuition to children during their prep years. We have a proven track record of successfully assisting hundreds children in securing spots at independent day and boarding schools as they complete their preparatory education.

  • Senior (13+)

Children transition to seniors at either age 11 or 13, depending on the school. This transition marks an exciting time, reflecting their efforts during prep years to secure admission. However, it can also bring feelings of anxiety, anticipation, and nervousness, especially for first-time boarders & making new friends. Our specialisation lies in common entrance exams, we do not cover GCSEs.

Parents choose tutoring services for various reasons, and here are some of the most common ones:

  1. Supporting their child in gaining admission to a selective day or boarding school.

  2. Addressing concerns about their child's unrealised academic performance.

  3. Managing school absence caused by prolonged illness or work commitments.

  4. Enabling their child to explore topics beyond the school curriculum, such as current affairs and debating.

  5. Seeking the reassurance and guidance of an expert opinion.

Regardless of your specific reason for seeking a tutor, we are committed to working in the best interest of your child and helping them maximise their educational potential.

Kai responded very well to having to do more “school work” outside of school hours mainly because Daniel made the classes fun whilst still maintaining the educational element.
